A major cause of problems on pc's is malware (spyware). Malware/Spyware is normally a program installed on your pc by another program you are installing but are not aware of the malware/spyware also being installed. I can clean your pc of these malware programs.

Some desktop pc problems are caused by dirt and dust buildup inside the pc. All desktop pc's need to have an annually cleaning. A CPU fan slowing, due to dust build up, will cause intermitting problems that are hard to explain. See our general pc-cleanup for help with these problems.

Are you ready to discard or give away that old computer but are concern about the data that might still be on the hard drive. You should be!!!! Even through you have deleted the files, formatted the disk, or the computer will not boot up because of problems, the data is still physical on the drive and can be retrieved with generally available software. Before you donate or give away that pc, I can rewrite the entire drive with a random pattern of data (even if the computer will not boot up) which will overwrite any previous files and data on the drive or I will remove and physically destroy the hard drive.

Do you have a small network in your home or small business? Even if you only have one pc and it is connected to the internet via a Cable/DSL modem, I recommend a router between the modem and pc. The hardware firewall in most routers, gives much better protection than a software firewall in protecting against pc intrusion. If you are using a wireless router be sure to reset the default password and turn on encryption. Even with a hardware firewall, I still suggest turning on the built in software firewall that comes with Windows XP, Vista and Windows7, or better yet, download the Free ZoneAlarm firewall and install it.
