How to Create a Windows10 Image

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Click on File History.
  • At the bottom of the left pane, click on System Image Backup.
  • The System Image Backup utility will open.
  • Click on Create a system image.
  • Select where image to be saved. (On one or more DVD’s or on a hard disk [other then the hard disk your are imaging] if available.)
  • Select Next, Confirm your settings and click Start backup.
  • When image has completed, if you have not created a system repair disc, now is the time to do so. You will need this repair disk to boot your pc and install the image you just created either on a new installed hard drive or to re-image the old hard drive. (note: all data on the old hard drive will be lost when re-imaging it)

How to Create a Windows10 Repair Disk

You will need this repair disk to boot a corrupted pc and restore the image you created.

  • Open Control Panel.
  • Click on File History.
  • At the bottom of the left pane, click on System Image Backup.
  • The System Image Backup utility will open.
  • Click on Create a system repair disc..
  • Select CD/DVD drive to creae the repair disc.
  • Click the Create Disk button.
  • When Repair Disk has been created, Label it as Windors10 repair disk and store in a safe place.

How to Restore a Windows10 Image

  • Boot PC using the Windows10 Repair Disk.
  • On keyboard option screen, click US.
  • On option screen, click Troubleshoot.
  • On Troubleshoot screen, click Advance Options.
  • On Advance Option screen, click Select Image Recovery.
  • On Re-image computer screen, select Select a System Image, then click Next.
  • On next Re-image computer screen, click start.
  • PC will reboot when the image has been restored.
